RVCC Recital Will Feature Hillsborough Vocalist

Hillsborough vocal student Kaitlin Dunn will be among the students performing at Raritan Valley Community College’s Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Department will present a Music Students Recital, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13, in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg Campus. 

The program will be coordinated by pianist Tony Strong, Associate Professor and Music Coordinator for the VAPA Department. 

The program will present music students from the department’s Associate of Fine Arts and Associate of Arts (Music Option) degree programs. The music majors satisfy a degree requirement by receiving private instruction on their primary instrument from RVCC faculty members and/or recommended teachers in the surrounding communities. Performances will include solo, accompanied and ensemble pieces, spanning a wonderful variety of musical styles and traditions. Original student compositions and arrangements also will be presented.

Other featured performers on this program will include vocalists Priyanka Chaturvedi (Bloomsbury), Madeleine Evarts (Bloomsbury), Devin McGuire (Basking Ridge), Anna Rivero (Neshanic Station), Jacqueline Rubio (Branchburg), Cecilia Salvino (Branchburg), Lucas Vogler (North Plainfield), Fola Walker (Franklin); guitarists Nicholas Brown (Somerset), Richard McCarthy (Warren), Matthew Ward (Phillipsburg); pianists Richard McCarthy (Warren), W. Casey O’Donnell (Whitehouse Station); bassist Angelo Benedetto (Pittstown); mandolinist Mathew DeBlass (South Bound Brook); tubaist Thomas Keane (North Plainfield); and percussionists Jesse Gerbasi (Middlesex), Matthew Johnson (Alpha), and Keaton Thandi (Flemington).
