Students Present Dinner-Theater Entertainment

Group's first murder-mystery and 'Taste Of' event could become an annual highlight.

Students in Hillsborough High School's theater program doubled up on the mystery for about 160 guests at the group's first murder-mystery dinner, Friday.

The sold-out event, planned as a fundraiser to help pay for the group's upcoming productions, also served up dinner from more than a dozen restaurants—which was periodically interrupted by the students acting out the unfolding double-murder mystery of Dora Worthington-Jones and one of her two suitors, Hugo Bottomley.

The project was primarily organized and scripted by the students, including Caitlyn Irwin, Connor McKenna, Lauren Wohlmacher, Rebecca Van Pelt, Sandy Buz, Alex Ferrao and Deanna Moore.

But a team of volunteers—including students and parents—brought it all together, with committee members Florence Blum, Lisa Cavagnaro, Shane and Janine Erickson, Marie Grimes, Kaitlyn Irwin, Donna Josbeno, Carol Kravette, Sharon Roman, Robin Shaw, Barbara Szabo, Hedily and Rebecca Wendover, and Janet and Lauren Wohlmacher making it possible.

Particpating restaurants included Angelo's Pizza, Bella Pizza, Cafe Piazza, Catered Affair, Great Wall Kitchen, Grub Hut, Halinka Polish Deli, Hillsborough Star Diner, Just Subs, King Wing, Lenny's, Papa John's Pizza, Petrock's Bar and Grille, Pheasant's Landing, Pizza Brothers, Raritan Pastry Shop, Shop Rite, The Roman Gourmet and Thai Kitchen.
