Tractor Trailer Fire Ignites Over Weekend In Hillsborough
Volunteer firefighters from all three fire district companies and Neshanic Fire Co. helped to extinguish the fire on Saturday.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A large tractor-trailer fire ignited over the weekend in Hillsborough.
Just before midnight on Saturday, volunteer firefighters from all three fire districts in Hillsborough and Neshanic Fire Co. were called to a tractor-trailer fire at 321 Valley Road.
Hillsborough Township Police found a parked and unoccupied tractor-trailer on fire.

Firefighters were at the fire for about 90 minutes and were able to contain the fire to the original truck, which had non-hazardous cargo, said Flagtown Fire/Rescue - Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Co. #1.
Somerset County Hazmat helped with assessing the truck for hazards and mitigating a fuel leak. Robert Wood Johnson EMS were also on scene to help.

No injuries were reported.
The fire is not considered suspicious but remains under investigation by the Hillsborough Township Police Department and the Hillsborough Township Bureau of Fire Safety.
