'We Need Dresses': Project Graduation Benefit Organizers Say

Annual used dress sale coming up is looking for last year's fashions.

The year's best deals on dresses may be coming up at the annual used dress sale benefitting Project Graduation—but organizers are hoping to bolster inventory in the coming weeks.

The annual sale raises more than $2,000 for the drug- and alcohol-free after-graduation party, with hundreds of dresses—all barely used, or course—donated to the cause.

This year's event organizers Minda Maggio and Sharon Slinsky are urging women to comb their closets for possible donations for this year's sale. Prom dresses, wedding dresses, bridesmaid and Bar Mtzvah dresses—it's all good.

Even shoes, purses, shawls and jewelry can help support this year's Project Graduation event.

The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 8 in the front lobby of Hillsborough High School. Donations can be delivered to the Hillsborough High School attendance office or meeting of the Project Graduation planning committee.

Or schedule a pickup—contact Maggio at mmaggio@htps.us or Slinsky at sharbo24@comcast.com to arrange a convenient pickup time.
