Wind Topples Tree, Power Lines Prompting Road Closure In Hillsborough
A Wind Advisory remains in effect for Somerset County on Tuesday through 4 p.m.
Update: Long Hill Road has reopened, and the power has been restored to residents in the area as of 2:40 p.m.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A downed tree and power lines have caused a road in Hillsborough to be closed on Tuesday.
Long Hill Road is closed between Wertsville Road and Zion Road, said police in an alert around 12:50 p.m.

"Please avoid the area and plan an alternate route, said police.
As of 1 p.m., JCP&L is reporting that 132 customers are without power in the Hillsborough area as a result. Restoration is expected around 3 p.m.

A Wind Advisory remains in effect for Somerset County on Tuesday through 4 p.m.
The National Weather Service(NWS) said residents can expect west winds blowing at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 to 50 mph.
"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, and a few power outages may result," according to the NWS.
