Workout Designed For Moms And Their Babies Launches In Somerset County
Somerset County mom Nicole Pedicini opened Fit4Mom Somerset to give other moms a place to workout without judgment.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Former personal trainer and mom of two Nicole Pedicini has not only created a place for women to workout but a community for moms to come together at Fit4Mom Somerset.
Pedicini is a mom of a son who is 5 and a 16-month-old daughter. She completely understands what it is like to be overwhelmed about getting out of the house with kids, finding activities to do with them, and just wanting to be part of a village of women going through the same things in life.
She looked around and couldn't find any groups to get together for moms and their children. That's when she found the Fit4Mom franchise.

"Fit4Mom is the nation’s leading prenatal and postnatal fitness program, providing fitness classes and a network of moms to support every stage of motherhood. From pregnancy, through postpartum and beyond, our fitness and wellness programs help make moms strong in body, mind, and spirit," according to somerset.fit4mom.com.
Pedicini took the plunge and opened the franchise's first Somerset County location at Iron Peaks, 137 Mountain View Rd. in Hillsborough.

"It's a place where moms can come to workout and they can bring their kids. They don't have to worry about what they are wearing, if they have spit up on themselves, if their hair is messy. if they have to feed their baby," said Pedicini. "It's a comfortable space for moms to come and workout and be part of a community of other moms going through the same thing."
Fit4Mom Somerset offers classes such as those that incorporate strollers called Stroller Strides. Classes are 45 minutes to 1 hour.
"We keep it moving. There is cardio and muscle training, all while incorporating your baby into the workout. The babies can sit there but also be engaged with songs," said Pedicini. "You get both a class for the kids and a class for the moms."
The first class is free and classes are for all fitness levels.
"You can get your ass kicked or just be there to mosey and talk - it's for every mom," said Pedicini.
Pedicini also offers playgroups and moms' nights out.
"I want to build a community in a sense," said Pedicini.
Drop-ins are welcome and there are also monthly memberships.
"It is about the workout, obviously, but we are also about building a community and support group for moms at every stage of motherhood. A lot of times getting out of the house for a class is the highlight of the week for a new mom," said Pedicini. "I am so excited to bring this community to Hillsborough!"
