Recently, Patch asked Jabbour and Russo some lingering questions about the race, including about independence. Jabbour has been criticized for failing to ever oppose Bhalla until recently, while a tenant group pointed out that Russo has received more than $100,000 in donations from local landlords, including one who appears in an NJ.com story about tenants feeling pressure to move.
Patch will post a full story on the candidates and independence later this week.

Russo responded to questions Tuesday saying, in part, "I have pledged that under a Russo administration any landlord who is skirting their affordable housing obligations or participating in warehousing will be held to account, without exception. I have the strongest record of advocating for full enforcement of the laws Hoboken has on the books—and whether it's lawbreaking in the rental market or reckless e-bike delivery drivers on our streets, Hoboken residents can feel confident that I'll stick up for them."
Did They Vote For Trump, Or Kamala?
Meanwhile, Patch posted Q&A with both candidates last month, asking questions on everything from pools in town to whether they support the current presidential administration.
