Nightly Road Closure Planned In Hazlet: See Where
The road will be closed to have utility poles installed and line work done near the railroad crossing, police said.
HAZLET, NJ — Drivers should be aware of a nightly road closure set for Hazlet next week.
Starting Monday and running through Friday, Bethany Road will be closed near the railroad crossing (between Ashleigh Drive and Telegraph Hill Road) to have utility poles installed and line work done, Hazlet Police said.
The nightly closure will begin at about 8 p.m. and work through the night, with an expected re-opening at 6 a.m.

Hazlet Avenue will be the designated detour for this portion of work, police said, with signage advising of the closed road and detour route.
During the closure, residents of Garden Park and Sterling Meadows will be able to access their homes from the Highway 35 side of Bethany Road, while those who live on Marc and Craig Streets will have to take Hazlet Avenue to Bethany Road to their homes.

The nightly road closure was originally supposed to take place in December but was postponed until the New Year, police said.
