Polar Bear Plunge, Live Music & More: This Weekend In Monmouth County

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — The weekend has officially arrived.

Whether you’re looking to hear some live music, take part in a community celebration, or take a plunge into the Atlantic Ocean as part of a 2026 Polar Bear Plunge, there are plenty of events happening around Monmouth County you can check out.

Polar Bear Plunge

• Date: Saturday
• Location: 1097 Ocean Avenue, Sea Bright
• Details: Save Coastal Wildlife is hosting its first Polar Bear Plunge in Sea Bright on Saturday. Participants will meet near the Sea Bright Beach Pavilion before plunging into the Atlantic Ocean at noon. Registration required.

Sundown Sessions

• Date: Saturday
• Location: Bar Bella at Bell Works (101 Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel)
• Details: Enjoy the latest installation of Bar Bella’s Sundown Sessions featuring Pete the DJ from 5-8 p.m. The bar opens at 4 p.m.

The E Street Shuffle

• Date: Saturday
• Location: The Stone Pony (913 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park)
• Details: The E Street Shuffle, a tribute to The Boss (Bruce Springsteen), will be celebrating its 20th anniversary on Saturday with a concert at the Stone Pony, featuring special guest Tom Vincent Band. Tickets required.

Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King

• Date: Saturday
• Location: Two River Theater (21 Bridge Avenue, Red Bank)
• Details: Join the T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center and Two River Theater to celebrate the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King with a live violin performance, presentations, and more. Free admission, registration requested.

Rock For Hunger

• Date: Saturday
• Location: The Wonder Bar (1213 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park)
• Details: Asbury Sunset will present its annual holiday benefit event on Saturday, benefiting Fulfill NJ (Food Bank of Monmouth & Ocean). Enjoy live performances and bring canned/non-perishable food donations to drop off at the show. Tickets required.

Make & Take Victorian Dolls

• Date: Sunday
• Location: Historic Longstreet Farm (44 Longstreet Road, Holmdel)
• Details: Drop in to Historic Longstreet Farm on Sunday for a lesson on crafting two styles of home-made Victorian dolls (corn husk dolls and rag dolls).
