Hopatcong's Wrestlers Fold in Atlantic City
Dan Haines, Miguel Burgos take preliminary-round losses.
It was a rough Friday in Atlantic City for Hopatcong. And, no, we're not talking about at the blackjack tables.
Chiefs seniors Dan Haines and Miguel Burgos each lost in the preliminary round of the NJSIAA wrestling state tournament.
Haines (125 pounds) was pinned for the first time this season by Paulsboro's Dontay Scott in 5:26. It was Haines' fourth trip to Atlantic City. He placed as a freshman at 103 pounds.

Burgos (160 pounds) made his first Boardwalk Hall visit. But it was bittersweet. He lost to Paulsboro's Anthony Dawson, 5-1.
