Sussex County Teens Charged With Mischief, Conspiracy: Police

An observant resident led to the charges, police said.

LONG VALLEY, NJ - Three teenagers and a minor were charged with criminla mischief and conspiracy after an incident at a private home on July 18, according to the Washington Township Police Department.

Washington Township Patrol Officers responded to a private residence in Long Valley after the homeowner called in a complaint, the police said. The Patrol Officers were able to
locate a vehicle in the area that matched the description that had been provided by the home owner and the occupants of the vehicle were identified and the investigation was turned over to the Washington Township Detective Bureau, police said.

According to authorities, the suspects had purchased items at the Wawa in Hacketttstown to
commit the criminal mischief and surveillance footage revealed it was the same people that were in the vehicle that was stopped by Patrol Officers on that night. The damage to the residence was over $500, police said.

The Washington Township Detective Bureau issued criminal complaints for three adults in reference to this incident and one juvenile complaint for a juvenile that was involved. The three adults that were involved in this incident were Nicholas Lazorczyk, 19, of Wantage, Evan Babcock, 19, of Wantage and Natalia Brownstein, 18, of Sparta, police said. The three adults were given a court date in Morris County Superior Court and the Juvenile was given a court date in Morris County Family Court.
