Tomahawk-Wielding Man Injuries Person In Sussex County: Police
Robert Cibula, 32, has been charged with aggravated assault, two counts of terroristic threats and possession of an unlawful weapon.
SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ — A Sussex County man accused of swinging a tomahawk at a person during two separate altercations last week is facing multiple charges, according to the Newton Police Department.
On Dec. 29, Robert Cibula, 32, of Andover Township approached another man at the Adams Street parking lot in Newton while holding a knife and making threats, police said.
Police said after the victim ran from the area, he returned a short time later and was again approached by Cibula, who swung at him with a tomahawk this time, causing an injury to his hand.

Cibula was taken into custody and later transported to Newton Medical Center for evaluation. He was charged with aggravated assault, two counts of terroristic threats and four counts of possession of unlawful weapon.
