Composting Workshop Offered In Howell

HOWELL, NJ — The Howell Township Green Team is offering a free backyard composting workshop on Saturday for residents to learn how to reduce waste and improve their soil.

The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Howell Organic Community Gardens at the corner of Adelphia and Squankum Yellowbrook roads in Howell.

The workshop will offer valuable tips and tricks on how to turn your kitchen scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich compost for your garden offered by the Monmouth County Master Composters, the event description said.

"This hands-on event will cover the benefits of composting, different composting methods, what materials to use, and how to maintain your compost pile," the description said.
