Fires Damage 2 Howell Homes Hours Apart
There were no injuries reported as a result of the fires, Howell police said.
HOWELL, NJ — Fires damaged two homes in Howell Township hours apart on Monday morning and remain under investigation, authorities said.
None of the residents were home at either fire, and there were no injuries reported, Howell Police Sgt. Eric Encarnacion said.
The first fire, in a two-story home on Sunset Lane, was reported at 8:49 a.m., Encarnacion said. Firefighters from the Southard, Freewood Acres, Squankum, Ramtown, Jackson and Wall fire departments responded and extinguished the blaze.

The second fire, in a two-story home on Roosevelt Avenue, was reported at 11:06 a.m., Encarnacion said. Firefighters from the Freewood Acres, Southard, Adelphia, Squankum, Farmingdale and Ramtown fire departments responded.
The Howell Township Fire Bureau is investigating both fires, Encarnacion said.
