Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore Honor Nine Phenomenal Women Under 40
FARMINGDALE, NJ – (September 21, 2022) – Nine emerging leaders from Monmouth and Ocean counties were honored by Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore at the Phenomenal Women Under 40 event on Wednesday, September 21st at the Girl Scouts’ Program Activity Center in Farmingdale.
Over 175 guests gathered for the annual event that recognizes exceptional women who have gone above and beyond in all that they do, including their amazing accomplishments and commitment to business growth, professional excellence, and community service.

Heather Coburn, newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, acknowledged the honorees and said, “Each and every one of the honorees are positively impacting their organizations and communities and are role models to our girls.” She added, “Right now, the power of Girl Scouting has never been more crucial in our community, across the country and around the world.” Heather thanked guests and supporters for funding new programming, partnerships, and opportunities for girls in Monmouth and Ocean counties.

The event EMCEE, a current Girl Scout and Sophomore High School student, Leena, credited Girl Scouts with allowing her to “gain confidence and develop a strong voice to be a positive role model for others.” The honorees were also interviewed by current Girl Scouts who were recognized during the event. Leena added, “These amazing young women help make Girl Scouting flourish and shine brightly in our communities.”
All proceeds from the event support programs that provide leadership experiences to more than 11,000 Girl Scouts across Monmouth and Ocean counties and ensures that every girl can access year-round Girl Scout programs.
