Patch: Tell us a bit about your business or organization:
John Hughes: I am the Democratic Party candidate for Mayor of Howell, NJ. I come from a blue collar hardworking upbringing with a mother that was a nurse and a father that was a union member on the Philly food docks. I got my first job at 14 and have been working ever since putting myself through college and law school. Now as a compliance and ethics professional, I have spent the majority of my career chasing down fraud, waste, abuse and corruption in the government and private sectors. I have been recognized as a leader in my field with invitations to speak about my work at national conferences and being published in my field. I have experience with budgets in the government and private sector, government purchasing rules, and personnel management including dealing with unions.
