Registration Open For Fall Youth Flag Football In Howell

HOWEL, NJ — The Howell Township Police Athletic League will be running a Flag Football program in the fall later this year for kids grades three to five.

The four-week-long program will run on Saturdays from Sept. 25 to Oct. 16. Games will be between 10 and 11 a.m.

Registration is available online here and costs $55 per child.

According to the organization, flag football rules are similar to those of the mainstream game, but instead of tackling players to the ground, the defensive team must remove a flag belt from the ball carrier to end a down. Contact between players is not allowed.

The games will be held at the Southard Enrichment Center.
