Spring Brush Collection Dates Announced In Howell

The Howell Department of Public Works will collect brush curbside. See the dates for 2025.

HOWELL, NJ — Howell residents who are beginning their spring cleanup can mark their calendars with the spring brush collection schedule for the township.

The Howell Department of Public Works will begin picking up brush curbside on April 7 and continue into May.

All brush for collection should be curbside no later than May 12 and a final collection pass per zone will be made after May 12, until all sections of Howell have been completed.

The collection is limited to brush and tree trimmings. Do not put out leaves for collection

Residents also can bring leaves and brush to Howell's township recycling center at 278 Old Tavern Road. It is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and closed Mondays and holidays.

Brush put out for collection should be stacked against curb with all butt ends facing the same direction. It should be no larger than 6 inches in diameter and 8 feet long. The maximum volume curbside should equal 1 pickup truck load.

No stumps will be accepted, and no leaves.

Additional brush can be dropped off at the recycling center.
