Woman Injured When Vehicle Hit Howell Building Has Died, Authorities Say

Authorities released the identity of the woman who had been critically injured in the crash. It remains under investigation.

HOWELL, NJ — A woman who was critically injured Sunday when her vehicle crashed into a building on Route 547 near Oak Glen Road has died, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office confirmed.

Christine Suter, 45, of Howell, has been identified as the victim in the crash. She was pronounced dead at 12:54 p.m. on Wednesday, the prosecutor's office confirmed.

Suter was driving south on Route 547 just before 10 a.m. Sunday when she ran off the road to the right side, drove over a concrete median island into a parking lot and into the side of a business, authorities said.

The business was not open at the time of the crash and there were no other injuries, the prosecutor's office said.
