Sports, Orientation and Stuff for Moms

Make sure you check out these five things.

We’ve gotten through yet another major storm—we Jeffersonians are a hardy bunch. Now life is somewhat back to normal, and there are things you need to know. Here are five of them.

  1. You Need to Know About Sports: The bowling team competes in the Morris County tournament today at 4 p.m. at Rockaway Lanes, the basketball teams take on Montville High today, the at home and the  on the road and the take on Paramus Catholic High today at Kittatinny at 4 p.m. A pool…makes us think of summer!
  2. You Need to Know About This Meeting: If you are the parent of an eighth grade student at the middle school, you can attend an orientation for incoming freshmen at the high school tonight at 7 p.m.
  3. You Need to Know It’s Not Too Late to Join the Moms Council: Patch is looking for moms who can help us figure out what sort of info parents really want to know; who can serve as our experts on mom-related issues; and who can turn to one another for advice, community and friendship. Sound good?
  4. You Need to Know You Can Post on Patch: You don’t have to wait for us to post your announcement or event for you. If you’re a Patch user—and if you’re not, what are you waiting for?—you can go to the event or announcement section and post your information for all Patch readers to see.
  5. You Need To Know Important Census Data Is Coming: Remember those 10 questions the U.S. Census Bureau asked you to fill out in 2010? News organizations and the public expect to get their first real look at the demographic data collected in the once-a-decade headcount on or about Friday. How do you think Jefferson Township has changed in 10 years? Tell is in the comments below (and we'll tell you what the stats say, just as soon as we have them).
