Man Beaten To Death By 2 Men Behind Hudson Co. Building: Prosecutor
Two Union City men were charged with beating another man to death who was found behind a building in that town, prosecutors said.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Two men have been charged with murder in connection with the death of a man who was found behind a building in Union City in November.
Gerson Vasquez, 26, and Antonio Santiago-Jiminez, 34, both of Union City, were arrested on separate days last week and also charged with endangering an injured victim, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office on Monday.
Prosecutors said that at approximately 11 a.m. on Nov. 14, the Union City Police Department was notified of an unresponsive man behind a building on 23rd Street.

They found Reynaldo Gonzalez, 56. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 11:30 a.m.
On Nov. 26, the Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be complications of blunt force injuries, prosecutors said.

Vasquez was arrested in Perth Amboy last Thursday and Santiago-Jiminez was arrested Saturday, prosecutors said.
Both are being detained at the Hudson County Correctional Facility, prosecutors said.
