2 Fatal Incidents One Day After Next Spur Investigation In Jersey City
Hudson County officials are investigating two incidents that happened on Friday and Saturday in Jersey City.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office and Jersey City police are investigating two incidents that happened one day after the next this weekend, leaving both victims involved dead.
On Friday, police were called to Oxford and West Side avenues around 4 p.m. for a report of an injured man. The man was pronounced dead at the scene around 6 p.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office and his identity was not released.
Early Saturday morning, around 3:15 a.m. police were called to Randolph Avenue for a report of shots fired. When police got to the area, they found a man who was shot in the torso. The man was identified as Rashaun Bell, 24, of Jersey City.

Bell was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center but was pronounced dead at 3:50 a.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating both cases with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department. No arrests have been made at this time.
