Bing Revamps Campaign For Jersey City's Ward C Runoff
None of the three candidates in Jersey City's Ward C council race earned more than 50 percent of the vote, leading to a Dec. 7 runoff.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Election Day has come and gone, but Ward C candidates are still fighting for a spot after a runoff was declared since none of the candidates garnered more than 50 percent of the vote.
Candidate Kevin Bing has already returned to the streets for his runoff campaign, canvassing throughout the weekend. Bing is challenging incumbent Richard Boggiano.
On Nov 2, Bing garnered 1,405 votes and Boggiano garnered 2,079 votes. In third place, Tom Zuppa earned 1,237 votes. The runoff election on Dec. 7 will be between Bing and Boggiano.

Bing's campaign focuses on being independent and highlight's Boggiano as a "backed by real estate interests" and having "Trump-leaning tendencies." Boggiano is largely relying on his base of voters for continued support.
In an Instagram post after election day, Boggiano wrote: "Thank you to everyone that came out to vote! Last night Jersey City voters showed that they care about responsible development, safety, and quality of life issues. Though I had the highest number of votes yesterday, I’ll need your support once again on December 7th to help push me over the finish line in the runoff election!"

Bing continued his campaign over the weekend, canvassing in Ward C, writing on Twitter, "Team Bing does it again. Another record setting weekend of canvassing and talking to voters. This runoff isn't going to be easy but with this momentum anything is possible."
