Community Leader In Hudson County: Sharon Lockett Doesn't Leave 'Small People' Hungry

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Without community leaders, Hudson County wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

How do you know this community leader?

Over the years I have watch this woman grow not only only with feeding the community but helping the seniors and bringing awareness to the community. She get the community involved with the pantry. She put prayer first for her and her staff. When her newsletter goes out in text, Facebook messages it’s all in different languages. Somehow others forget about the small people.

What does this community leader do?

It's a different kind of food pantry.

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

Because of the dedication to the people with food and other services.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

"That she cares about the people."
