HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — The discount chain Five Below — which sells many of its toys, home goods, electronics, beauty products, and art supplies for $5 or less — will open a new location Friday in Hudson County.

The store will opening near Route 495 in Union City, with events all weekend and $10 gift cards for the first 100 customers in line on Friday morning.

The company, which describes itself as the "extreme-value brand for kids, tweens, teens and beyond," will open the new store at 10 a.m.

The store will be open at the Columbia Park Center, located beside the ramp to Route 495.

Besides the usual products, the company will feature a large variety of helium balloons, décor, and party favors, they noted.

The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

They're located at 3131 John F. Kennedy Blvd.

Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Philadelphia, the company now has 1,800 stores in 44 states, including one in the Newport section of Jersey City.
