“The well-being of our clinicians is the cornerstone of the care we provide. When we boldly invest in their growth, we strengthen every life touched by this organization. This program is not merely an initiative it is a covenant with our staff, our clients, and the future of behavioral healthcare.”
— Daniel Regan, CEO, HealingUS Centers
Regan also emphasized the critical relevance of New Jersey’s newly enacted Social Work Licensure Compact, a legislative milestone that expands workforce capacity and strengthens the foundation for HealingUS’s innovative model.
Governor Phil Murphy’s signing of bill A2813—sponsored by Assembly Majority Leader Lou Greenwald and Assemblywomen Verlina Reynolds-Jackson and Shanique Speight marks a historic advancement for the behavioral-health workforce.
The new law enters New Jersey into the Social Work Licensure Compact, allowing clinical, master’s-level, and bachelor’s-level social workers from any member state to practice across all participating states under a single multistate license.
Amid a nationwide shortage of healthcare professionals especially in mental health, addiction treatment, and elder care this legislation expands access to urgently needed services. The compact improves care delivery across state lines, including telehealth, and alleviates long standing burdens for military families who must frequently relocate and reapply for licensure.
As Majority Leader Greenwald stated:
“By joining the Social Work Licensure Compact, we are empowering clinically licensed social workers to provide care across participating states, ensuring that residents receive the care they deserve without delay.”
HealingUS’s workforce initiative emerges as a natural complement to this statewide effort.
While New Jersey expands mobility for the behavioral health workforce, HealingUS enhances recruitment and retention by offering transparent compensation, comprehensive benefits, advanced training pathways, and meaningful career stability creating a powerful incentive for top tier clinical talent to build their careers in New Jersey.
“This program illustrates that strengthening the workforce is not simply an internal policy it is a statewide strategy for ensuring equitable access, high quality care, and superior clinical outcomes,” Regan added.
