Jersey City Man Sent Explicit Messages To Child Through Social Media App Discord: Prosecutor (patch.com) — Jersey City residents are being alerted after prosecutors charged a 40-year-old local man with lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly sending explicit messages to a juvenile via Discord. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office says he was arrested at his Jersey City home and is being held at the county correctional facility as an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation continues.
   

2. Pedestrian Hit By Car And Hospitalized In Jersey City (patch.com) — A 61-year-old Jersey City man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle near Communipaw and Mallory avenues, drawing concern in the neighborhood. Prosecutors say he was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center, while the driver stayed at the scene and the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and Jersey City police continue to investigate.
   

3. NJ Restaurant Named To '23 Best Dishes In America' List (patch.com) — Jersey City food lovers can celebrate as local Bangladeshi spot Korai Kitchen, run by chef Nur-E Gulshan Rahman and her daughter, has earned a place on the New York Times list of 23 Best Dishes in America. 4. Rep. Menendez announces $1.25M federal grant for Jersey City Public Schools (hudsoncountyview.com) — Jersey City Public Schools are receiving a $1.25 million federal grant to expand school-based mental health services through their Project STARR program. The funding, announced by Rep. Rob Menendez, will support training more school psychologists and mental health professionals to work directly with local students in high-need schools.

Jersey City Shooting Death of 16-Year-Old Remains Under Investigation (tapinto.net) — A homicide investigation is underway in Jersey City after a 16-year-old from Pennsylvania was found with a fatal gunshot wound inside a Rose Avenue apartment on December 12.
