NJ Man Arrested In Colombia Charged With Child Sex Assault
The man was brought into custody from Colombia on charges that he sexually assaulted a 7-year-old last month in Jersey City.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — A Jersey City man was arrested in Colombia and taken into custody on charges that he sexually assaulted a 7-year-old girl last month in Jersey City.
Abel Ore-Guzman, 63 of Jersey City, was flown back to the United States and arrested at Newark International Airport on Tuesday. He was charged with Sexual Assault by Contact, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Attempting to Lure or Entice a Child. The alleged assaults occurred in late October while the defendant was renting a room in the victim’s family’s home.
The United States Marshals Service Colombia Foreign Field Office and the United States Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, Hudson County Team, worked together on the case.
