Jersey City Youth Learn Importance Of Recycling At Camp
The Division of Recycling teaches the Jersey City Recreation & Youth Development summer campers about climate change and the environment.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — The Jersey City Department of Public Works Division of Recycling has been hosting several workshops this summer throughout Jersey City to educate the youth on the importance of recycling and composting. The goal is to provide the campers with the building blocks of environmental education, raising their global awareness and inspiring them to get involved in their communities.
The Division of Recycling teaches the Jersey City Recreation & Youth Development summer campers about the importance of recycling, composting food waste, and the effects of climate change and the environment with eco-friendly lessons while engaging them through games and activities that promote critical thinking and brainstorming.
