Check Out When Jersey City's Only Outdoor Ice Skating Rink Will Open

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Sharpen your skates and grab your coats, Jersey City's only outdoor ice skating rink is getting ready to open.

Newport Skates at 95 River Drive South will open on Saturday for the season, weather permitting. A special opening day on Friday is set aside for Newport residents. The rink will be open for the rest of the season Monday through Friday 4-9 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Skaters can once again enjoy beautiful views of the New York City skyline while zooming around the rink. Online ticketing will be available, with presales beginning November 12th through the Newport Skates website. Newport Skates offers private lessons and party packages.

Admission is $8, Newport residents receive half-price admission, skate rentals are $7.
