K-Pop Foodie Fest Coming To Jersey City With Live Music: See Lineup

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City K-Pop Foodie Fest is coming to the Journal Square neighborhood this weekend.

The K in K-pop stands for Korean, and anyone interested in enjoying Korean pop music and dance, and Asian street food, is welcome to attend.

The festival will be held in Magnolia Landing, the public plaza next to the Journal Squared residential towers.

The festival is free to attend, although the food is for sale.

"Catchy beats and melodies, free dance lessons, and mouth-watering Asian street food are just some of the experiences guests will enjoy during a full afternoon and evening of activities," organizers said.

The festival is planned by MMFB Productions and sponsored by KRE Group, the same two Jersey City-based companies that teamed up to bring the Jersey City Night Market to Journal Square in 2024. The K-Pop Foodie Fest is an extension of the Jersey City Night Market.

Between 2-8 p.m., guests can immerse themselves in K-Pop music while enjoying food, drinks, activities, and products from local vendors.

Guests are encouraged to register ahead of time by visiting the festival’s Eventbrite page, but walk-ins are welcome.

“This isn’t just a food festival. It’s a full-blown K-Pop takeover in Journal Square!” said Alysis Vasquez, CEO of MMFB Productions. “Don’t miss out on the ultimate mashup of flavors and fandom as we debut a new kind of festival in Jersey City.”

The Lineup

The tentative entertainment lineup includes:

• DJ Sean See, 2-4:30 p.m.
• DivaDance featuring a K-Pop choreography lesson, 4:30-5 p.m.
• DJ Peach, 5-7:30 p.m.,
• Project 1, 7:30-8 p.m.

Food vendors will include Softbite Soufflé Pancak, Filipino Street Eats, bubble tea, 902 Brewing Co's beer garden (featuring mango slushie margaritas), and more.

There will be free activations for attendees, including a Loro card swap table, face painting, face gems, a photo booth, dance workshop, and more.

Magnolia Landing is located at 136 Magnolia Ave. in Jersey City, just steps from Journal Squared and the Journal Square PATH train station.
