Man Struck, Killed By Train In New Jersey City On Easter
The accident occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. Easter morning, NJ Transit said.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Hudson-Bergen Light Rail train in Jersey City on Easter morning, a transit spokesperson said.
UPDATE: The man has been identified.
The man was struck after 6:30 a.m. near the Richard Street stop, said a spokesperson for NJ Transit.

There were no injuries to the 44 riders or the conductor on the train, which was operating on the Bayonne branch, the spokesman said.
The accident caused service to be temporarily suspended between Richard Street and Liberty State Park. Substitute bus service was provided, according to the transit agency.
