The Health & Human Services Division of Senior Affairs will partner with local groups to gather feedback on housing, transportation, healthcare access, and social connection, shaping future services and facilities for older residents.

2. 2 Jersey City gang members convicted of 3 murders, including pregnant woman (hudsoncountyview.com) — Two Jersey City men have been convicted in federal court for a 2017 triple homicide that included the killing of a pregnant woman inside a Fulton Avenue apartment. Prosecutors say the pair used a stolen U-Haul and walkie‑talkies to carry out the execution-style shootings, then killed an associate to prevent him from talking. They now face mandatory life sentences, with sentencing set for April 22, 2026.

3. Mukherji bill to enhance payroll tax collections in Jersey City & beyond clears Senate (hudsoncountyview.com) — State lawmakers have advanced a bill to tighten enforcement of Jersey City’s employer payroll tax, aiming to protect school funding and ease pressure on property taxpayers. By giving the city access to state wage and withholding data, officials say they can better catch noncompliant employers and stabilize revenue for Jersey City classrooms and other large municipalities.

4. NJ Science Center steps in to save stranded baby terrapins (wobm.com) — Liberty Science Center in Jersey City is caring for five rescued diamondback terrapin hatchlings from Long Beach Island through the winter before returning them to the shore in late May. 5. Man at Center of Jersey City Murder-for-Hire Plot Says Corruption Probe Was a ‘Sham' (jcitytimes.com) — A political consultant now in federal prison helped arrange the 2014 killing of his friend in a Jersey City apartment and later cooperated with prosecutors on a corruption probe that produced no major charges.
