Person Killed By Train In Hudson County Identified: NJ Transit
A man was struck and killed by a train in Jersey City on Easter morning. NJ Transit identified him Tuesday.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A pedestrian who was struck and killed by a Hudson-Bergen Light Rail train in Jersey City on Sunday morning has been identified.
The man was James Edward Porch, 40, of Bayonne, a NJ Transit spokesperson said.
The agency said the man was struck after 6:30 a.m. near the Richard Street stop. There were no injuries to the 44 riders or the conductor on board.

An obituary identified Porch as a Bayonne father of three and small business owner. Services will be held Friday.
New Jersey Transit Police are leading the investigation, they said. They said the man was trespassing near the tracks, but no other details were released.
