Man Sues Jersey City Police, Saying They Put Bag On His Head, Assaulted Him: Report
A Bloomfield man is suing the Jersey City police, saying they assaulted him and put a bag over his head when he was walking into a bar.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A Bloomfield man has filed a federal lawsuit saying Jersey City police assaulted him over a parking spot at a bar, pulled a bag over his head, and arrested him on false charges, according to a story on NJ.com.
Gregory Williams filed the suit in U.S. District Court in March against the city of Jersey City and its police department, the story says.
The story says that Williams claims he parked his car at Halftime Bar and Grill on March 4. A police officer yelled at him to move, according to the suit. After he complied and headed to the bar, he was assaulted, placed into a police car with a bag over his head, assaulted again, then arrested on charges that were later dropped, the suit claims. The suit claims that the department discriminates against minorities. The story is here.
