Ice In The City: Newport Skates Ice Rink In Jersey City To Open Soon

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Ready to skate?

The Newport Skates ice rink, located near the city's waterfront, will reopen this week, said a worker at the site. The worker said the venue may open as soon as Friday.

Each year, the outdoor rink offers lessons, rentals, and seven days of skating per week, but has had to close at times when the temperature gets too warm.
