SWAT Arrests Man For Sex Crime Against 11-Year-Old Girl In Jersey City: Prosecutors

A man charged with sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl was arrested in Jersey City on Tuesday.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A SWAT Team arrested a man on Tuesday who sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl in Jersey City, prosecutors said.

Charles Bordeaux, 42, was charged with second-degree sexual assault by contact and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday.

Prosecutors said that the girl did not know Bordeaux, but was known to someone else who lived in the apartment were the assault occurred.

On Tuesday, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Hudson County Regional S.W.A.T. took Bordeaux into custody at his home, prosecutors said.

He was found to have an outstanding warrant from Jersey City at the time of his arrest, prosecutors said.
