Local Teen Arrested For Child Sex Abuse Materials: Hudson County Prosecutor

A Hudson County teen was arrested for having child sex abuse materials on a server, prosecutors said.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A Hudson County teen was arrested Tuesday for allegedly having at least 100 child sex abuse materials on an online server, prosecutors said.

Andrew Bastida, 19, of North Bergen was arrested by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, prosecutors said.

He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and released to await his
first court appearance, which is tentatively scheduled for next Wednesday.

Prosecutors said that in April 2024, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a cyber tip that child sexual abuse material was being stored on an online server.

During the course of the investigation, "it was determined Bastida controlled the account and over
100 videos of child sexual abuse material were seized," prosecutors said.

He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and possession of child sex abuse material, prosecutors said.
