Tenant Rights Workshop To Be Held In Jersey City This Weekend

At a free workshop this weekend, Jersey City tenants can share experiences and learn about protections.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City's rents are among the highest in the nation. But various state and local laws protect them from "unreasonable" rent increases and evictions, even if they're not under rent control.

Jersey City Together and the Waterfront Project will be hosting an event on Saturday called "Community Tenants' Rights Workshop."

They said attendees can "Share your experiences and discuss challenges like landlord disputes and rent issues."
