Victim ID'd In Crash And Road To Close Tuesday For Investigation: Hudson County Prosecutor
A man has been identified in a double fatal crash in Hudson County Friday, and the road will close Tuesday for the investigation.
KEARNY, NJ — One of the victims in a double fatal crash in Kearny on Friday has been identified, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Tuesday.
Raymond Jackson, 36, of Vernon was among two people who died in the early morning crash on the Newark-Jersey City Turnpike Friday morning, said prosecutors.
The identity of a woman riding in the car with him has not been released yet, prosecutors said.

Road To Close
The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. when a BMW collided with a Ford Transit van, prosecutors said last week. Nine people in the van, from Canada and New York State, were treated at area hospitals.

Prosecutors said that as part of the ongoing investigating, Newark-Jersey City Turnpike between Kearny and Jersey City will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Motorists are being asked to seek lternate routes and should expect detours until approximately midnight.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Kearny Police Department are investigating.
