“As the saying goes “it takes a village” and that is what the Whole Spectrum Autism is creating as we grow as a foundation. A village that understands and accepts!” -Sherry Singh Founder Whole Spectrum Autism
As more and more individuals are diagnosed with the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), it is creating more opportunities to educate, learn and understand about the needs of the autism community. Autism is a growing concern in the United States but particularly in New Jersey. Rising numbers of children with ASD need services and support, now and as they grow into adolescence and adulthood.

With understanding comes acceptance. When there is acceptance, there is a willingness to listen, work together for the full inclusion of adults with autism and their families into our community. Autism Acceptance Month kicks off in April and on April 4, 2023, the Whole Spectrum Autism Foundation invites you to celebrate the flag raising of Autism Acceptance and recognize the multitude of experiences within the Autism community.
Businesses in Jersey City will light up blue on April 7, 2023 on the pedestrian plaza and find creative ways to support Autism Acceptance month in April. The purpose in participating in Light it Up Blue is not only to show support for individuals with the autism spectrum disorder, but also show acceptance and be inclusive of those around them. Every individual has something unique to share with the world, including those of us on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. We want to give voice to those who may not speak as loudly or communicate as clearly.
