Woman In Critical Condition After Hudson County Hit-And-Run: Prosecutors

Hudson County prosecutors are seeking the driver in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a female pedestrian Saturday night, they said.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Union City on Saturday night, prosecutors said.

Shortly after 9 p.m., the Union City Police Department was notified of a pedestrian struck on 17th Street in the area of Bergenline Avenue, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's office.

A 32-year-old woman was found with serious injuries, prosecutors said. She was taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition, they said.

A vehicle suspected of being involved in the crash was recovered during an investigation, prosecutors said, but they have not made any arrests.

The circumstances are still being investigated by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit with assistance from the Union City Police Department, prosecutors said.
