Missing Jersey City Woman Left Dog Behind, Family Offers Reward

A woman left her dog in the corridor of her Jersey City Heights apartment and hasn't been seen since, a local official confirmed.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A woman left her Jersey City apartment with her dog last week and hasn't been seen since, a councilman said Thursday night, asking the public to help.

The family of the woman, named Annah, is offering a reward for information, according to a missing poster.

Ward D Councilman Yousef J. Saleh told Patch that he confirmed the information with the North District Police Department.

"Please help boost this," he wrote on his social media page. "Annah is still missing. She was last seen March 1 exiting her apartment [on] South Street. Please share!"

The woman, who is 33 and 5-foot-10, left her apartment at 4:56 a.m. on Saturday, the poster said.

"Annah left her apartment with her dog, who was later found in the apartment corridor," the poster says. "She left behind her keys & phone. Annah was last seen via CCTV in a nearby park in the Heights, Jersey City."

A different poster said that she was also caught on camera in Hoboken, which is just down the hill from Jersey City

Annah was last seen wearing a black jacket, a black sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes, the poster says.

The family is offering a reward for information leading to her whereabouts, the poster says.

Reached by phone on Friday, the Police Department said it could not release further information. Patch will update the story if more information is received.
