This Ocean County Diner Is One Of The Best In NJ, Report Says
There are more than 500 diners in New Jersey. This one, located in Lacey, was named one of the best.
LACEY, NJ — With more than 500 diners in New Jersey, everyone is sure to have their own favorite. But NJ Advance Media recently ranked the top 41 diners for 2024, and this one in Lacey made the list.
Coming in at number 40 on the list is the Forked River Diner.
When you picture a classic diner, you probably picture something exactly like the Forked River Diner - the ranking describes it as looking "like it dropped in from diner outer space, with its vaguely flying saucer-like look." It's small and packed with booths, and you're sure to see a few regulars sitting at the retro-style counter, sipping coffee and chatting with waitresses.

The menu, naturally, features classic diner fare, with homemade soups and breakfast platters. NJ Advance Media mentions their pancakes, especially a recent special of caramel apple walnut pancakes.
The Forked River Diner boasts that it's been family owned and operated since 1984.
