Forked River Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash
A motorcyclist collided with a mini-van at the intersection of Nautilus Boulevard and Normandie Drive this afternoon

A Forked River man was reported dead after a motorcycle accident on Nautilus Boulevard, police said.
Joseph Mollicone, 31, suffered fatal injuries after his motorcycle collided with a mini-van on Nautilus Boulevard near the intersection with Normandie Drive in Forked River at 1:16 p.m.
A 2001 Toyota Sienna mini-van operated by Kimberly Buxton, 45, of Forked River was waiting to turn left onto Normandie Drive from Nautilus Boulevard eastbound. Mollicone, who was operating a 2001 Kawasaki ZX 750 westbound on Nautilus Boulevard, lost control of his motorcycle and collided with the mini-van within the van's lane, police said.

Buxton was taken by ambulance to Community Medical Center in Toms River where she was treated and released.
Preliminary investigation found that Buxton did not contribute to the cause of the accident, police said. No motor vehicle summonses were issued at the scene.

The Lacey Township Police Department along with the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office and the Ocean County Sheriff's Department Criminalistics Unit are investigating the accident.
The Lacey EMS and the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department assisted at the scene.
