Lacey Food Bank Kids Program Seeks Candy, Egg Coloring Kits

LACEY, NJ — Lacey Food Bank Kids is seeking donations of egg coloring kits and candy for their next distribution day.

Donations can be dropped off at the Lacey Food Bank Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon until March 13th.

“Donations of egg coloring kits and Peeps along with the usual Easter candies (all individually wrapped bags or candies please!) would be appreciated by our littles, and not so little ones,” the food bank announced on Facebook.

Donations should be marked “LFBKids Easter” or addressed to “Laura/LFBKids.”

The Lacey Food Bank is also seeking food and toiletry donations to fill their shelves before their next distribution day on March 18th.

Distribution days are scheduled on the third Thursday of each month from 9 a.m. to noon. Registered clients can line up on the west side of Station Drive and pop their car trunks open for volunteers to load groceries in.

The food bank posted a list of their most needed items:

• Peanut butter (regular size jars, not super-sized)
• Pancake syrup
• Bars of soap
• Dog and cat food
• Sugar
• Flour
• Ketchup
• Mustard
• Salad dressing
• Spaghetti O's
• Oil
• Pam spray
• Pull-Ups
• Sanitary pads
• Tampons

The Lacey Food Bank is located at 102 Station Drive in Forked River. Donations can be dropped off Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
