Lacey Man Brandished Knife In Road Rage Incident, Chief Says
James E. Whitley, 22, was charged with aggravated assault, police chief says.

LACEY TOWNSHIP - Lacey police have charged a Forked River man with aggravated assault after a road rage incident when he pulled out a knife, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Officers Jesse Dalziel, Dimitrios Tsarnas and Special Officer Matthew DeCataldo responded to the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot on Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor at 11:52 a.m. on Nov. 4 on a road rage report.
Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of James E. Whitley, 22, Horner Lane. He was also charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and terroristic threats, the chief said.

"Whitley brandished a knife and threatened the 20-year-old male driver of the other vehicle involved," DiBella said.
Whitley was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River to await a bail hearing.
