Lacey Police Charge Two Township Men With Heroin Possession
Arrests came after police investigated "suspicious activity" in a parked car, police chief says.

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Two Forked River men are facing heroin possession charges after police investigated "suspicious activity" in a parked vehicle in the area of Enterprise Drive recently, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Officer Anthony Sarno was patrolling near Enterprise Drive at 9:18 p.m. on Nov. 8 when he spotted the men.
Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Robert Ellingham, 36, Conifer Drive, Forked River for possession of heroin, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sgt. Robert Surtees assisted with the investigation and arrested Robert Prosperi, Jr., 35, Enterprise Drive, DiBella said.

Both men were taken to police headquarters, processed and then taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River to await a bail hearing, the chief said.
