Influenza and pneumonia vaccinations are free if you are enrolled in Medicare Part B. If you're not, or are enrolled in a Medicare managed care plan, the cost is $20, payable in cash or check.

This year's flu vaccine will protect recipients from four different flu viruses. Vaccinations are especially important for people with chronic diseases, pregnant women and people over 65, the health department says.
