We asked Patch readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:
- "The drug issue here is ridiculous. They don't call the HS 'Heroin High' for no reason. I'm fully aware that it's rampant all over, but it's beyond crazy here."
- "Escaped convicts, apparently."
- "People that don't bother stopping at the stop sign when they first get off the parkway."
- "The nuclear Power plant"
- "I just wish instead of people being behind there screen complaining, they would take these concerns to town hall meetings."
- "Geese"
- "Drinking and driving is a huge issue in Lacey."
- "Until drug addiction is viewed as a health concern, Lacey will always have safety concerns."
- "Failure to yield to emergency responders."
- "People flying down Laurel Blvd past the bend"
- "People not using their blinkers"
